Spartan HistorySpartan started trading in 1982 from a small premises in Church Street Richmond, Melbourne. The very first Spartan schoolbag range consisted of only three different style schoolbags.The ???, ???, ??? In 1989 Spartan developed and launched Australia's very first ergonomic school backpack with the "SLAM" system which incorporated 2 shaped metal rods. "I can remember when we increased our range to ???? styles and thought Wow our range is getting big!" - Paul Davidson, Operations Manager. Over the next 15 years Spartan continued to evolve and expand the range to include school hats, socks, schoolwear and accessories. The increase of stock holding and volume of products sold to schools Australia wide required a move in 2005 to a 80,000 sq foot premises located in Mitcham Victoria including staff of over 50 employees. INSERT PHOTO HERE From simple beginnings in 1982 Spartan has gone from strength to strength leading the way with innovative product development, incorporating stringent product quality control and combining outstanding customer service resulting with increase demand for our products. In 2016 Spartan again moved operations to our current location being a much larger purpose designed and built 90,000 sq foot warehouse in Knoxfield. Vic with a staff of over 70 employees. Global Assistance In August 2012 Spartan donated $1500.00 to the Tabitha Foundation to fund the construction of one house in a Cambodian Village.
